Kemudian sahabat itu menceritakannya kepada nabi saw. وَاَقِمِ الصَّلٰوةَ طَرَفَيِ النَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًا مِّنَ الَّيْلِ ۗاِنَّ الْحَسَنٰتِ يُذْهِبْنَ السَّيِّاٰتِۗ ذٰلِكَ ذِكْرٰى لِلذَّاكِرِيْنَ. Bersabda sampai dengan perkataannya berikut ini, . That is a reminder for those who remember. Ayat ini diturunkan berkenaan dengan seorang sahabat yang mencium perempuan bukan muhrimnya.

114) yang menegaskan kejahatan itu dapat diampuni allah dengan. وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ طَرَفَىِ ٱلنَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلْحَسَنَٰتِ يُذْهِبْنَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ذِكْرَىٰ لِلذَّٰكِرِينَ. Maka allah menurunkan ayat ini (huud: Bersabda sampai dengan perkataannya berikut ini, . Ayat ini diturunkan berkenaan dengan seorang sahabat yang mencium perempuan bukan muhrimnya.
